About Child Centre Method
About Dr Alweena Awan
Dr Alweena Awan is held in high regard in the field of Kinesiology and Energy Medicine. Having completed a Phd in Child Development, she sought out therapies which could help with learning and behaviour issues, for children. She trained with some of the key figures in modern Kinesiology, i.e., Dr. Charles Krebs and Hugo Tobar, Carl Ferrier, Charles Benham and subsequently made her own important and unique contributors to this developing field.
Alweena then developed The Child Centre Method – Learning and Behaviour Programme ® after working in schools for twenty three years in and receiving her doctorate in “Raising Children’s Learning and Performance in Schools”, in 2007. The programme is the culmination of years of research and development in the area of child development. Her knowledge and application of learning and behavioural improvement methodologies for children is unique. She is a published author on the subject of using holistic methods to help children learn. Specifically, she holds the greatest expertise in the identification and rehabilitation of retained reflexes. Retained reflexes create neuro-developmental issues and can be identified by careful examinations of physical, emotional, mental, and social behaviours. Retained reflexes create great challenges to students at any age and can upset natural abilities in reading, writing, speech and language, behaviour and emotions.
She has trained teachers, chiropractors, health care professionals, therapists and parents in her methods, and in the process has helped children to overcome a variety of challenges and to live more fulfilling lives. The Child Centre Method has been used in schools in the UK , Ireland, Brazil and Malaysia.
Alweena, alongside Caroline Ancley, developed an advanced energetic kinesiology course called AFP – Attuning to Full Potential. AFP can be learned by practicioners and non practicioners alike. It is a method which advances the skill of even the most experienced practitioner but can be learned in stages by a complete beginner. It is a remarkable and valuable tool for personal development and for the treatment of a broad range of complex issues.
Her experience as an academic, combined with her in depth learning and development of energetic medicinal practices make Alweena a rare and important figure in this field. She has successfully treated hundreds of clients with issues ranging from the physical, to the mental/emotional and spiritual.
