Raising children’s learning and performance and implementing effective strategies to improve standards represent continuous challenges for government policy makers, schools and teachers.

This model, depicted in figure 8.2, is derived from a variety of aspects both addressed in the critique of the literature and other aspects which have been investigated through this research.

Therapies using movement programmes have been used in many contexts. In particular, research was carried out in Australia demonstrating the benefits of using movement programmes.
